Sussex Philosophy Society

The Sussex Philosophy Society is a local partner of the Royal Institute of Philosophy, the UK's largest independent charitable foundation devoted to sharing philosophical thinking as widely as possible. It is run by the Sussex Philosophy Department and based at the University of Sussex.

We run a series of events throughout the year, featuring guest speakers from the UK and across the world, and representing a wide variety of philosophical perspectives, disciplines, and traditions.

All events are open to the public. Some take place on the University of Sussex campus, and others take place in public spaces in surrounding areas such as Brighton and Lewes.

Check out our Upcoming Events to find out what is happening this year and join us in person at one of our upcoming events.
